About me
👋 I’m Bente — Ex-Division I field hockey player and proud founder of ScholarShipped.
When I was 17, college field hockey in the U.S. found it's way to me... The Northwestern University team came to play a scrimmage at my club in The Hague, NL. After the game, the coaches offered me a full-scholarship to play at their school in Chicago, and I never looked back.
Six years later, I left the U.S. with:

From winning a national championship, to recovering from an ACL injury, to navigating homesickness, to playing a graduate season at UC Berkeley — I’ve lived every part of the student-athlete experience.
